"Victories come in all shapes and sizes."
"I'm not much for dressing up. I'm more of a comfort guy."
Honestly, that is a false statement... at least in part. I really don't like to dress up. When I say I am more of a "comfort guy," that really means I choose clothes that hide my bulbous features well.
Quite recently, I was in a situation which required a suit. I have two. So, I went to my closet, pulled them out and tried them on.
Uh oh! Catastrophe! (A quick note here. If you don't have children who watch Disney Junior, you probably didn't catch that reference. It's a tip of the hat to Gaspard and Lisa. Oh parenthood.)
Neither fit. The newest edition wrapped around me like a mummy.
The second, the oldest of the two, was a bit smaller, but not by much. I sent it to the dry cleaners for processing.
In the end, it turned out alright. I personally don't think it turned out well, but it did the job.
With my continuing weight loss adventure, I'm finding it more and more necessary to purchase smaller clothes. When it comes to big ticket items, I get nervous.
Most people would be excited about clothes shopping . I just don't want to spend the money. That, and if things go sour and I start putting on weight again, the new clothes would represent failure and a waste of money.
Even so dear reader, we've reached the point where I share my current weight. So let's look at the numbers shall we?
Current Weight
CURRENT WEIGHT: 298.6 pounds
WEIGHT LOST: 95.4 pounds.
I'm UNDER 300 pounds!
In my last entry, I told you that I couldn't remember the last time I weighed under 300. Needless to say, I am rather excited.
Of course, that brings me within just a few pounds of crossing my first massive goal: to lose 100 pounds by February 2014. Okay, so I'm probably going to get there sooner than I thought.
Until next time dear reader, be infinite.
YEA!!! You rock Mason! And buy new clothes. Don't save larger sizes. Why look back? You are going forward!
